How Does It Work?

The simplest analogy, and the inspiration for our name, is to think about how a traditional bakery works. A bakery uses essentially the same ingredients (flour, sugar, milk, eggs, etc.) placed in an oven to produce a variety of unique (and tasty) products. The key difference between the products is the recipe.

That's our process, too. We take all of the ingredients, mix them all together, and our trusty ZPrinter does the rest. What comes out is based on the recipe. For us, the recipe is the CAD file that contains your item.

Rapid Prototyping

Rapid Prototyping decreases development time by allowing corrections to a product to be made early in the process. By giving engineering, manufacturing, marketing, and purchasing a look at the product early in the design process, mistakes can be corrected and changes can be made while they are still inexpensive.

Custom Products

Do you need a single item for a trade show or a client meeting? Why bother with a sketch or a picture? A custom version will provide a far greater impact with your audience. And, our technology allows us to make virtually anything without breaking your budget.

Fun

Everyone has some kind of knick-knack on their desk or shelf to express their tastes. But, if it's a popular item...so does everyone else. Stand out from the crowd with something that truly expresses who you are. We can create replicas of the things that mean something to you. Miniatures of your family, pets, cars, etc. Show what you MADE, not just what you picked up at the store.

What's the Next Step?

The simplest option is to send us your CAD file in one of the following formats: VRML, 3DS, STL, ZPR or PLY. If you're using SolidWorks, we can accept that file natively and will export to a printer-compatible file for you. Your file allows us to give you an accurate quote based on the materials used to create your item. It's simple and fast.

If you don't have a CAD file, we can work with a sketch or mockup of your item and create one for you. Just send us your drawing and a description of what you're looking for. We'll discuss your goals then create the file for you. You don't need to be a CAD expert to create your item . . . you just need your imagination (and us).
